Let's be honest: we're all cut from the same cloth. First there were surfers. On Hawaii, kings rode wooden planks down the waves. Surfing spread quickly, and in California it was surfers again who screwed roller skate wheels under a wooden board and "asphalt surfed" with it, calling it skateboarding. Then came the big surf boom of the eighties and nineties, the so-called sailboarding or windsurfing, later kiteboarding and stand-up paddle surfing, and in the 2020s finally wingfoiling, prawn surfing, and now parawinging and pumpfoiling.

The new Surf Festival is for all dudes and deerns who love to go surfing – no matter how and with what your surf stoke is preferably experienced. That's why the Foil Festival, launched in 2021, and the Surf Festival, which has been held since 2002, are joining forces for the first time to create the new Surf Festival: on Ascension Day, from May 6 to 9, on Fehmarn at the Westmole on the Südstrand. See you there! 🤙 Join the Tribe.
